LANGUAGES WITHOUT LIMITS

LANGUAGES WITHOUT LIMITS

WELCOME!

Website logo

This is a not-for-profit website which aims to support language teachers in their efforts to make effective provision for learners of all abilities. It takes as its starting point the conviction that second language learning is a gateway to significant personal benefits, that everyone can benefit, and that no-one should be excluded.

THE FUTURE OF THIS SITE

The time has come for me to retire, yet hundreds of you, students, parents and professionals from all over the world, are still using the LwL site every day, so I shall continue to support the site as it is now, but without making any more additions or corrections, until such time as it crumbles away, or until the software I used to create it becomes obsolete.

Where possible, I am encouraging the present generation of experts to 'adopt' relevant pages and incorporate them into their own sites. Where this happens I shall eventually delete those pages from LwL and replace them with links to the new sites.

Eventually, much of the material will be incorporated into Catriona Oates' new interactive website, Inclusive Practice in Language Learning: incpill.com

In the meantime, if there are pages that you regularly use or refer others to, please feel free to download them, use them, develop them as you see fit – just in case they are not there the next time you try to find them.

I am very grateful to all those who have agreed to let the pages they have contributed be used in this way. It has been a privilege and an honour to have included their expertise on this site for so many years. As a matter of courtesy to us all, please indicate the provenance of any pages you use or develop.

And to all those who have used this site over the years – keep up your good work!
